Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,
Today I was reading an article on www.byucougars.com about the men's volleyball blue and white scrimmage. At the very end of the article, it said something about how the team is in their preseason and only has 3 more weeks to "be together as a team" until their actual season begins because of some NCAA rule. What exactly does this mean? That in three weeks they can't practice together anymore? That they can't play matches with any other teams? Please explain.
Thanks,
Avid 100 Hour Board Fan

A: Dear Avid Fan,

The NCAA states that teams can only officially practice a certain number of times before the season starts (that means official pracitices with coaches), also since they are not playing this semester, they can't officially practice after a specific date in november. They can still get together and practice as a team in an unofficial capacity, not with the coaches.
