Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,
Several times I have heard the phrase "BYU co-eds." I have also read the phrase in several of Jack Weylend's books, such as "coed jokes." What is a coed? I have asked several people, no one knows and it is driving me insane!
- too much Jack Weylend

A: Dear TMJW,

From dictionary.com: "A woman who attends a coeducational [that means men AND women go there] college or university."

- A BYU coed
A: Dear Jack Weyland fan,
Y'know, I'd just like to add that during my (albeit brief) time here, I've not heard a single coed joke. From reading Weyland's books, I'm kind of glad - they didn't sound exactly condusive to improving relationships between the brethren and sisters who attend this fine institution.

- Still can't get a BYU coed
