Whenever he thought about it, he felt terrible. And so, at last, he came to a fateful decision. He decided not to think about it. ~John-Roger and Peter McWilliams

Dear 100 Hour Board,
During the middle of the night I have awoken twice in the last 2 months. I wake up because I am swallowing, and I can't stop! The first time I had to get out of bed and get a drink of water to stop, then second time I just had to change my position and I stopped. Why am I doing this?

A: Dear Fish Out of Water,

It could be that you sleep with your mouth open. After a while, your throat gets dry and is trying to quench your parchedness. Rolling over (and probably unconsciously closing your mouth) and getting a glass of water would solve this problem.

Trebek: "You drink water out of one of these. Mr. Connery?"
Connery: "A leather glove"
