A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. - James Dent

Dear 100 Hour Board,
I once posted on a message board. My sister also posted on said message board. We/I/She was accused of being the same person posting under different names. The accuser informed us that he knew this because we had the same IP address. Obviously with students using campus computers you can't track all their IP's but is there a way(without using omniscence) that you can know if someone is using more than one name.

A: Dear Ms. Biggles,
Technically, no. If you were, for example, to use another computer and use a different name, we have no realistic way to see if you're actually someone else. Not without coordination with OIT, and it's not worth the bother.

Y'know the funny thing is someone asked a very similar question just three hours before you...
