Dear 100 Hour Board,

"Can colors drive you mad?"

Watch the 1964 "Masque of the Red Death" with Vincent Price. In it, he escorts Jane Asher through a series of mono-colored rooms (yellow, white, purple, black) and describes how an ancestor of his emprisoned a man to see how living in one color affected him. When released the prisoner of the yellow room couldn't bear to look at a flower, the sun, etc.

Admittedly, however, this was a Roger Corman cheapie horror film and not a peer-reviewed scientific study.

A: Dear Wes,
Try reading the actual story "Masque of the Red Death" by E. A. Poe. It's just as creepy as the movie sounds (having never seen it), but with an entirely different plot.
P.S. Beware the red room...
