Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I love the International Cinema and am curious as to how I can go about seeing the less-known movies after they are shown on campus. That's all. Thanks
- Mafalda

A: Dear Mafalda:

I've only once seen a movie at IC that I have not been able to find on www.imdb.com. From there, you can see if it's released on video or DVD in the US, or you can find international sites where you can buy it (beware of region-encoded DVD's and PAL VHS tapes, though there are ways to get around these restrictions). Or you can always just see if the Orem Library has it. The foreign film collections at Blockbuster and the Provo Library are pathetic (and that's putting it nicely), but the Orem Library has a well-stocked collection. Good luck finding that movie.
