Dear 100 Hour Board,

I've heard that America started driving on the right side of the road in protest to the British lefties, can you verify this source?

A: Dear nameless,

According to my research, Britishers started driving on the left because most people mount horses from the left, and it's safer to mount a horse from the shoulder than from the middle of the street. Americans, on the other hand, started driving on the right because wagon drivers sat on the left rear horse, and it was easier to watch out for oncoming traffic if it was on the left. (The wagon drivers sat on the left horse because they held their whip in their right hand, and that way they could reach all the horses.)

I couldn't find any evidence of right-handed driving being a form of social protest.
