Dear 100 Hour Board,

My computer monitor is dreadfully dirty. How do you suggest that I go about cleaning it? It's a flat screen, so I'm worried about damaging it.

A: Dear Snaps,

The best way to clean an LCD Monitor is a 50% solution of Isopropyl Alcohol. Regular alcohol you would buy at a drugstore is about 90% or so. That means...

Take some rubbing alcohol, mix it 1:1 (equal parts) with water. Then, use a very very very soft cloth (either an old clean t-shirt or a cloth you can buy commercially) to wipe the screen down.

Absolutly do not use Windex or anything ammonia-based. If you do, certain death will occur (to the monitor, not necessarily to you... but you never know).

Good luck getting rid of the spots.

That is all.
