Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I am wanting to get a job fighting wild land fires this summer. It is a highly competitive market to get into. How do you reccomend that I attempt to get hired? Who should I contact? I live in Idaho, but am willing to work anywhere in the United States and Canada (if that information helps at all).

NKOTB

A: Dear NKOTB,

IT really isn't that hard to get hired. I just walked into a forest service office a few summers ago and they tried to hire me (i just needed to use the bathroom). They try not to hire idiots or people who only ask questions and never try to find the answers themselves. I think really fat and aneorexic people usually have problems getting jobs there. Try contacting the forest service. You need to be willing to work from may to the end of october. That is peak fire season, if you can't work those times, it is likely that you won't be able to find a job.
