Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

For the academically minded: can you guys direct me to good websites that outline basic political concepts like the differences between republicans and democrats and their stances on various issues; and what it means to be liberal, moderate, or conservative - and maybe that also talk about the ideological make-up of the current adminstration and congressional body??? I need to be more learned!

A: Dear Waggles,

Hmm, well, you can look up the terms you are curious about at http://www.answers.com/library/Politics. But that may not be what you want. Maybe http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/street/pl38/sect2.htm is more what you are looking for. http://www.issues2000.org/askme/dem_rep.htm might also be helpful. I've also found http://www.politics1.com/parties.htm to be helpful in explaining particular parties.
