What is the egg-milk ratio for French toast batter? Is it 1 egg:1/2 cup milk, 1 egg:1 cup milk, 1 egg:2 cups milk, or none of the above?

A: Dear frenchie:

I rarely measure anything when I cook, but when I make french toast, the ratio is more like 1 egg: 1/2 cup milk. But it really doesn't matter. It just depends on how runny you like your toast.
