Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

If you had to pattern your life after a prescriptive or a descriptive model, which would it be?

- Gram

A: Dear Gram,

The more I go through life the more I realize that prescriptivity is a lost cause... context of existence is so crucial to everyday living that it's simply impossible to prescribe everything. That being said, I can't shake my prescriptivist tendencies-- even just with language I'm incorrigible. (always correcting people's grammar...)

So I guess despite my inherent prescriptivism, the logician in me makes me descriptivist.
