Whenever he thought about it, he felt terrible. And so, at last, he came to a fateful decision. He decided not to think about it. ~John-Roger and Peter McWilliams

Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,
Is it ever possible to see man-made satellites orbiting earth? I say yea, my wife says nay.

A: Dear Staring at the stars,
I don't want to cause any marital contention, but you are right and your wife is wrong. I've seen man-made satellites orbiting a number of times. Sometimes they are easier to see than others. You know that you are watching a satellite when it moves across the sky at a rate visible to your eye. They are usually as bright as a dim star, so you might have a hard time seeing them from Provo. But out in the countryside it's not too hard to find them if you keep a good lookout over the sky.
