Dear 100 Hour Board,
Which is the best exercise for improving my vertical jump fast? Leg press? Jumping rope? Some sort of lift?

A: Estimado Señor,
Jumping rope would be a good, simple way to start out. It's good aerobic training too, which is helpful in most sports activities. Leg press, is good for the quads, but what you want is a bouncy strength. The best way to practice jumping, believe it or not, is to jump. Do repetitions of twenty or so, jumping in place as high as you can. I am told that this will swiftly improve your vertical jump. I saw a Seinfeld episode once where a guy could dunk because of the training shoes he wore. They isolated his calf muscles and supposedly gave him a great vertical lift, but he fell and broke his arm, so maybe that's not such a good idea.
