Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

What can I do to stay awake in class (besides get more sleep)? My eyelids get sooo heavy, and it is extremely hard not to "nod-off."

A: Dear Sleepy,

Horatio, Petra, and Optimistic gave some good tips on staying awake in Board Question #17392. I find that if I keep moving during class I can keep from dozing off. For example, I'll shake my leg, play with my pen, switch positions in my desk, or draw pictures on my notes. For those classes that are especially trying I bring some kind of candy or a drink. If I find myself falling asleep, I'll just start snacking. But ultimately getting sufficient sleep the night before will be your best bet for staying awake (whether you wanted to hear it or not).
