Dear 100 Hour Board,

Whose idea was it to make soap? What was said person's inspiration?

A: What Ho Squeaky Clean!

According to the offical Soap and Detergent Association's offical history http://www.sdahq.org/cleaning/history/ states that "A soap-like material found in clay cylinders during the excavation of ancient Babylon is evidence that soapmaking was known as early as 2800 B.C."
And, as to their intentions, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they wanted to be clean. Despite that nonsence they talk, about early soaps being used as a hair styling substance, I know the ultimate truth! Man-kind was meant to be clean!
