The crows seemed to be calling his name, thought Caw. –Jack Handey

Dear 100 Hour Board,

So in light of recent conversation, I was wondering, before the conventional birth controls of today were there any previous forms of birth control. My cousin and sister insisted there must have been, even thousands of years back. I am somewhat doubtfull, considering that even today there exsists some controversy over where it is moral wrong, and how would they go about creating any thing?

A: Dear Curious,

You may want to have a look at the History of Birth Control section of this Wikipedia article. It has methods that were used that date back to the Egyptian time period. Quite interesting actually.

Yale University also has a lengthy article available here that might satisfy your curiousity.

For additional information try entering "History of Birth Control" into Google.
