Dear 100 Hour Board,

If you could time travel, where/when would you go?

To hear Jesus Christ preach in the streets? To shake George Washington's hand? To ride a dinosaur?
To buy a bunch of cheap gasoline for your car, and try to bring it back? Or somewhere/sometime entirely different?

A: Dear Chris,

I would travel back to 1929 Russia and sit down with Joseph Stalin (assuming, of course, he'd be willing to talk with me) and try to figure out what exactly was going on in his head when he engineered the Great Terror. I'm assuming this time machine allows me to speak Russian (or, better still, Georgian).

I'm sure if you ask anyone else, they'll give you a much more fun answer. Being a historian, I'd use a time machine for practical purposes. I could completely change the field. Who needs to analyze primary source documents when you can just ask the person who wrote them what they were thinking?
