Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

Board Question #26296: if you look at many of Conan Doyle's works, he was interested in the sale of Sherlock Holmes, not necessarily the accuracy. He wrote many other works that he wished had sold better and that he wished to be known for rather than being known for Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes brought home the bacon, so to speak, but became an albatross around his neck. You can easily Google Arthur Conan Doyle and find several sites devoted to his biography and bibliography. Some of them go into detail about the wheres and whys, etc.
