Dear 100 Hour Board,

Comment concerning Board Question #30141:

In this question, fsyod referred to "the Shakespeare debate." What debate? No person of any reputation, training, or sense in theatre, English, or history serious believes that anyone except William Shakespeare from Statford wrote the plays ascribed to him.

For a good introduction to this topic, see "How We Know That Shakespeare Wrote Shakespeare: The Historical Facts" by Tom Reedy and David Kathman (http://shakespeareauthorship.com/howdowe.html). In fact, the entire http://shakespeareauthorship.com web site is a great resource for belly laughs about what bizarre things people actually believe about "who REALLY wrote Shakespeare."

- Questioning, whose favorite Shakespeare play is "Macbeth."
