Dear 100 Hour Board,
What's the difference between a PCL5e and a PCL6? When would you install one instead of the other?

A: Dear Printer,
PCL5 is an earlier version of the Printer Control Language than PCL6. There's also PCL5e, if I remember correctly. You would use PCL5 if the printer in question did not understand PCL6. However, considering how long PCL6 has been around, I don't think it's a problem. If the driver disk came with PCL5 and PCL6, use 6. If you run into strange printing errors, try 5. Either should work fine, though.
