Dear 100 Hour Board,

What (who, when, etc.) is your favorite?

P.S. Is it dangerous to give the amazing Board Writers so much free rein? ;)

A: Dear TANWA,

Standing on the misty mountain, Jane contemplated her life. She looked down the steep waterfall crashing on the jagged rocks below. Would they really kill her instantly if she fell on them? She sighed. Another question she would never know the answer to. Then she started contemplating her future. What would she eat out here while waiting for the research helicopter? What would she listen to next on her mp3 player of choice? She sighed again. These are unimportant questions. Then she started to think about her favorites. This is truly an important thing to decide, she decided. What is my favorite? No, no, I like Who better. But When is much more timely. Then again, Where is vital. She thought about this question for a long time, until the sun set and the moon was far above her. When the crickets ceased their chatter, she had come to a conclusion. Why was her favorite.

A: Dear Are you sure you want to ask this,

Foods - Really fresh salsa, just about any form of rice, cantaloupe, fresh pineapple, potato soup, peppermint ice cream, Samoas, an L&T chicken taco salad (with olives), key lime pie, an L&T pick of the garden wrap, and a big fatty hamburger with extra cheese and bacon

Youtube videos -,,

Thing not allowed at BYU - Beards

Writing this list, I think I realized that I pick my favorite things (with a few tasty and good-looking exceptions) based on how influential they've been on me, as opposed to letting myself be influenced by my favorite things. I wonder why they come in that order.

A: - What Ho!

Favorites 'eh? Well, how's this?

OUT of us all
That make rhymes,
Will you choose
As the winds use
A crack in the wall
Or a drain,
Their joy or their pain
To whistle through--
Choose me,
You English words?

I know you:
You are light as dreams,
Tough as oak,
Precious as gold,
As poppies and corn,
Or an old cloak;
Sweet as our birds
to the ear,
As the burnet rose

In the heat
Of Midsummer:
Strange as the races
Of dead and unborn:
Strange and sweet
And familiar,
To the eye,
As the dearest faces
That a man knows,
And as lost homes are:
But though older far
Than oldest yew,--
As our hills are, old,--
Worn new
Again and again:
Young as our streams
After rain:
And as dear
As the earth which you prove
That we love.

Make me content
With some sweetness
From Wales,
Whose nightingales
Have no wings,--
From Wiltshire and Kent
And Herefordshire,
And the villages there,--
From the names, and the things
No less.
Let me sometimes dance
With you,
Or climb,
Or stand perchance
In ecstasy,
Fixed and free
In a rhyme,
As poets do.
