Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I graduated early from high school and am still 17. My bishop insists I earn the Duty to God award. Does helping my professor carry a box to class count for service hours?

A: Dear stapican,
That's between you, your conscience, and the Spirit.

A: Dear Stapican,

Service hours? How long have you been carrying that box? Service minutes, maybe. I'd try the Center for Service and Learning in the Wilk for actual hours of service.

A: Dear stapican:

If you're stretching that much to get service hours for your D2G award, I think indicates a real lack of desire to get your award. Not that I blame you; you've now got more important stuff to worry about. If you really don't care about getting it, just don't do it. It's not like standing as a BYU student depends on it or anything.
