It is difficult to make a man miserable while he feels he is worthy of himself and claims kindred to the great God who has made him. ~Abraham Lincoln

Q:

Dear Yourname,

Having lived in both Oregon and California, and having made frequent visits to Washington, I'd have to agree with Beemer Boy. Oregon takes the cake. However, all three states have their own local flavor--California by far has way more thugs, which provides frequent entertainment for all (or at least drama anyway). If that's not enough for you, Schwarzenegger is Governor--hands down the most bizarre political occurrence in Cali. Oregon by far has the most eclectic combination of people living in the state, and has the most breathtaking falls. (Multnomah beats the pants off of Snoqualmie, though they both beat Cali hands down.) Washington has Pikes Market and the beach where Sleepless in Seattle was taped, so, really, who can compete with that. All in all, the message is ultimately, "Can't we all just get along."

A: Dear Girl,

I've hiked Multnomah.
