Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

With respect to Board Question #36549, the Church does enable direct bank deposit for tithing in some circumstances, but they need not only be for millionaires. Some over-seas workers and U.S. expatriates have, through special permission, arranged to pay their tithing in this manner. While I am not privy to the reasoning behind these arrangements, it can probably help avoid complications with exchange rates. To my knowledge, however, this must be specifically arranged with Church administrators. One friend of mine who was working abroad chose this option, primarily because his high-level executive position income was so disproportionately higher than the average incomes in the country where he lived.
