Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,
Is there any state where it isn't legal to make a right-hand turn on a red light? A friend of mine is working with a teacher who advises his students to check their drivers' manuals on this, but it seems logical that turning right after stopping at a red light would be legal in all the states.

A: Dear Ubergeeeek --
The information I found pointed towards your conclusion, which is that all states allow right turns on red lights. I found one reference to a law in New York City which made it illegal to turn right on a red light, but other than that, you are free to turn on red throughout the US and Canada.
