Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

Shouldn't the media refer to presidential candidate Barack Obama as a "white senator" half the time?

A: Dear rover,

Sounds logical to me. And Halle Berry should be referred to as the ½st black woman to get the best actress Oscar.

But I'm not going to fret over it. In reality, being only partially "black" puts you in a different social category than 100% "white" people. It's a remnant of our former culture and it is real, but I think emphasizing that fact only perpetuates the problem. I have a dream that one day people will use skin color only as a useful description, much like, "he has a big head", instead of as a limiting factor in achievement.

A: Dear A-dawg,

Obama was drafted by the blacks, so they can claim him completely. (Caution, link has naughty language!)
