Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

Do you have to be engaged to get engagement pictures? Obviously a place won't know if you're not really engaged; but I'm wondering if there's any type of moral issue against using a coupon for engagement pictures when you're not engaged. Well, you don't have to be getting a passport to get passport pictures. Isn't it basically the same type of thing?

A: Dear spaced it,

I don't think it should make a difference. If they really care, I guess they could ask you for some sort of "proof" (sort of like showing your driver's license at a restaurant before getting a free birthday meal, or something), but if you happen to want to get a bunch of photos done with your boyfriend or girlfriend, and if the photographer's still getting paid, I don't see why it should matter.

You could also call up the particular photographer you're interested in and ask if they care that you're not technically engaged yet.
