Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

So my local NPR station, KUNC, just had a pledge drive a week or two ago, and for one of the "gifts" they had during the hour of This American Life was the new book that Ira Glass edited called "The New Kings of Non-Fiction." I must say, that book is quite enticing. The pledge needed to get the book was $120, so, for the first time ever I pledged, but I pledged $11 a month for a year, thus, making it a dollar more a month than the minimum. Can I now say in good conscious that I didn't just do it for the book?

A: Dear Bleser,

Considering that you can currently buy the book on Amazon for $10.20, I'd say you should have a clear conscience even if you'd only pledged $10 / month.
