A: Dear Dodd,

Yes, both Hypoglycemia and Hyperglycemia can cause vision impairment, from blurred vision to a comatose state (which tends to obscure your vision somewhat). Diabetics are at greater risk of numerous vision impairments including loss of colors to total blindness.
