Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

Is it true that if I get a speeding ticket I can go to court and if the police officer who gave it to me does not attend the ticket is removed from my record and I do not have to pay? How often do police officers (bless their hearts) actually show up in court?

- Steve

A: Dear Steve,

No. According to California Law (because that's where you are) the officer can testify via a sworn declaration. So don't speed.
