Dear 100 Hour Board,

As I was driving around today I noticed that the exhaust pipes on most trucks point out to the side, while the exhaust pipes of most cars point out the back. Why is this?

A: Dear smoky:

When you raise a truck, the exhaust pipe is just at the right level to blow into the window of the car it's next to. Making those of us who drive sensible, gas-conservative cars hate trucks even more.
