Q:
Dear 100 Hour Board,
Regarding Board Question #46134 (about becoming certified to teach piano and el ed)
Does a person really need special training or a certificate or license of some sort to teach piano out of their home? I have been doing it for a few years and I definitely am not majoring or minoring in music. (Just had the typical piano lessons for about 10 years when I was younger, nothing fancy)
Just checking.

Dear Give us a tune,
No, you don't have to have any certification to teach piano lessons, but you can often charge more or build up a better clientele if you've got some sort of certification or training.
