"If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun." - Katharine Hepburn

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I noticed that in the movie at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (I think its called Joesph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration), all the married people in the movie wear their wedding bands on their right ring fingers. I'm assuming this was the custom back in those times and that the movie was trying to be historically accurate. When and why did the custom switch to wearing your wedding band on your left ring finger?

A: Dear Ethel,

Looking through the archives I found we've already been asked this. They said the costume department for the movie did the research and found that men usually wore their rings on their right hand at the time, but that tradition switched around the time of World War II.
