Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I am hoping you or one of your readers can help me find the artist and name of a song I recently heard on Sirius satellite radio. I heard the song on the Hip Hop Nation station (station 40). The chorus to the song was in Arabic and was the first part of a verse from the Qur'an (specifically Al-Fatihah). However, the song talked of materialism and living a lavish lifestyle.

As an extra FYI, Shazam did not recognize the song (despite numerous attempts) so it is probably a more obscure song.

A: Dear disappointed,

I hope this doesn't disappoint you, but the only song I could think of was "Mu'allim" by Sami Yusuf. I looked through my extensive collection of Arabic music and e-mailed my friends who would be in the know and that seems to be the one. It is easily locatable on Playlist.com and Amazon.com.

Check it out and if it's not correct, send me an e-mail and I'll help the best I can.
