Dear 100 Hour Board,
When did "Jews" start being known as . . . well, "Jews"?
- I'm just asking this for a friend of mine, but actually I kinda want to know now that he asked me to ask you guys (& gals).

A: Dear your own best friend-

Jews are "Jews" because they are from the tribe of Judah. The word's roots trace back through Middle English, Old French, Latin, Greek, and Aramaic to Hebrew itself.
