Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

Why do BYU student think it's okay to do blackface for Halloween? I've seen at least three mutual friends who dressed up as someone black for halloween and wore black face paint.

- Offended and I'm not even black

A: Dear Offended,

Because Obama is President.

A: Dear people,

Out of curiosity, what exactly is offensive about pretending to be black? Seems to me to be one of those things people get outraged about because they want an excuse to be outraged. Guess what, people of African descent actually do have dark skin. All the "political correctness" in the world isn't going to change that.

A: Dear ridiculous,

This offends me, too.

Get over it,

A: Dear writers,

While I wouldn't have been offended either, I presume that the writer is offended because of blackface's historical ties with racism in the U.S. Just saying.
