Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,
Can I maintain my AZ drivers liscence and register a scooter in Utah? I really don't want to because that will screw up my parents insurance, and my AZ liscence doesn't expire until 2051! (65th B-day)

A: Dear Arizonan,

Generally, out of state students are exempt from registering vehicles here in Utah, so you may not have to worry about it. All the same, it's possible to register your vehicle here and keep your AZ license. You don't even have to show your license when registering a vehicle. I registered my car here in Utah last summer (after getting pulled over in Wyoming for an obscure traffic violation and being cited for my expired registration instead), but kept my out-of-state license until it expired this past March. Things shouldn't be any different for a scooter.

A: Dear as do I,

What the junk, man! Mine expires in 2041 when I'm 60. How'd you get the hookups?
