Whenever he thought about it, he felt terrible. And so, at last, he came to a fateful decision. He decided not to think about it. ~John-Roger and Peter McWilliams

Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

What are healthy and appropriate ways for a single (and likely to stay that way for a few years) girl to deal with sexual frustration?

Thanks,
frustrated

A:

Dear frustrated,

These aren't specific to men or women; they're just some suggestions I've heard before that you may or may not find helpful:

  • physical activity: e.g., hiking, running, playing frisbee
  • social interaction, especially with the opposite sex
  • prayer

You might also try talking to your parents for suggestions (if you're comfortable enough with them), or maybe even checking out the BYU counseling center. I would be shocked if they didn't deal with this question on a regular basis.
