Whenever he thought about it, he felt terrible. And so, at last, he came to a fateful decision. He decided not to think about it. ~John-Roger and Peter McWilliams

Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

The 2009 Ensign article "Think About What You Are Thinking About" is fantastic. The Mormon Channel's "Insights" talks about the same principles in episode 15 (same title). The ideas are wonderful, simple, and applicable. Are there any other church articles or podcasts like this where they discuss practical ways to think appropriate and positive thoughts? Non-church articles and podcasts that relate?

Thanks!!

A:

Dear friend,

You may be interested in the talk "Worthy Music, Worthy Thoughts," by Boyd K. Packer and "Let Virtue Garnish Your Thoughts," by David H. Burton

Non-church resources I found include this Beliefnet article, a fantastic post on mountainmovingmindset.com, a Psychology Today article about eliminating unwanted thoughts, and a couple of articles from Spring.org.

Peace,
