Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,
Does jello qualify as a dessert?
- Distressed and Dessertless

A: Dear Destitute of Dessert:

Depends on your definition of dessert. If you consider dessert to be "something you eat at the end of the meal strictly for enjoyment and not for nutritional value" then, yes, Jello can be a dessert. I don't happen to consider it a dessert because I don't really like eating it all that much. My dessert most often happens to be fresh fruit, even though it obviously has some nutritional value. You could eat Jello with the meal, in which case it probably isn't considered dessert. At any rate, if you enjoy it, then eat it.
