Dear 100 Hour Board,
Is Vineyard its own town or is it a part of Orem that has its own name because it's fancy?
-Saxamaphoto
Dear you,
I think it could be summed up by this section of the Wikipedia article: "According to some town residents, Vineyard first became a distinct place in 1899. However, it is still considered a suburb of Orem, UT by the US Postal Service."
I live in that direction and most people that live around the Vineyard area would say that it is separate. They have their own town hall and everything, so I am also inclined to say that it is separate. I think as it continues to grow with more housing development it will start to separate even more from Orem.
It's definitely not because it's fancy.

Dear Saxamaphoto,
Vineyard is its own town, although it is pretty small compared to the surrounding municipalities. It was incorporated in 1989 and had a population of just over 3,000 people as of 2015.
