Dear 100 Hour Board,

What intramural sports have you participated in? Did you enjoy it?

-Sports Fan

Dear Sports Fan,

I have only ever played intramural Ultimate Frisbee, and I have only ever played on terrible teams. I am usually a large part of why the teams are terrible. Since I can sometimes take these kind of things way too seriously, I got in the habit of trying to loudly congratulate people for good plays, whether they were on my team or the opposing side. Somehow this evolved into me constantly shouting a stream-of-conscious style play-by-play commentary during every subsequent game, stretching across multiple seasons. I do feel like it was moderately successful in keeping games light, which made it more enjoyable for me. So, yes, even though we didn't win a ton, I still liked it.

So, if you were ever playing Ultimate Frisbee and some idiot on the other team was shouting random nonsense all the time, you were probably playing against me.

Dear athlete,

Last year I was able to fulfill my secret bucket list item of participating in intramural sports when my family home evening group formed a Wallyball team! Wallyball was seriously the best. Although I did perhaps enjoy the social aspect of intramurals more than the actual playing of the sport, Wallyball was still super fun and I always enjoyed practicing and playing (despite the fact that we never won a single game. Well, unless you count forfeit). I got some pretty awesome bruises too! I will never regret signing up; it really contributed to making that semester one of my most enjoyable ones.
