Dear 100 Hour Board,

I want a cheap tablet for the Gospel Library app. Really, that's its primary purpose. I might also play sudoku. A 7" screen is sufficient. I don't want Amazon ads or even suggestions and I have a separate basic Kindle for reading books. I only need wifi capability. What tablet should I get?

Dear you,

It sounds like you want a cheap Android tablet, and not an Amazon one. I found three good options for you:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A7
  • Asus ZenPad 7
  • Lenovo Tab3 7

I found these by Googling "Best Android tablets under $100." You could maybe go a little cheaper, but a cheaper tablet from a less reputable brand would be more likely to break.

Also, there's this awesome Android tablet comparison chart that will show you every possible tablet that matches the specs you want, sorted by price and screen size. It's pretty cool, so check it out.
