Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

BYU has recently started a two-step verification to sign in to all of its websites. Is there any way to opt out of it? I haven't been able to find anything about this, and my phone doesn't have enough storage space for me to download the Duo app that they want me to use. It's such a hassle, especially because I constantly log on to BYU websites from different devices! I understand that this is to increase security, but I'm fine having an unsecured account.

A:

Dear fellow struggler,

Wow, your phone's storage must be tiny. The app is 7.8 MB.

According to the website, there's tons of other options, including landline, tablet, stored codes, or even text. And if you find that annoying, you can ask it to remember you for 30 days, so you only have to go through the hassle once a month.

I know it's a pain, but hopefully you find something that works for you.
