Dear 100 Hour Board,

Hey guys! I just like hearing about good things that are happening for you all every now and again. So, what's something good that has happened to you this week? Thanks for all of your hard work!

Dear reader,

I actually keep a miracle journal and so it would be hard for me to pick one thing. I'll share a few with you:

  • I'm done with my dentist appointments
  • Quick Quack Car Wash was having free car washes in Pleasant Grove and my wife and I both got free car washes
  • I found a way to get hard water stains off my car
  • A member from my wife's mission took us to breakfast
  • I got to go fishing with my dad
  • My brother called and gave me a referral for real estate

Thanks for your appreciation!

Dear Aziraphale,

Well, going for long walks has been pretty great.

On Wednesday, it was a wonderfully cloudy day, with periodic spurts of light showers. I was in the mood for walking, and so I left my apartment to wander the streets of Provo. Streets became pathways became trails through undergrowth (including mud that completely enveloped my feet) became a mountain. There was a pretty good view as I was walking, too.

I finally turned back once I found myself at the trail head for the Y. I was actually tempted to hike up it, but I was still in my third hand sandals (which aren't the best for hiking, btw), and was getting hungry (turns out just crackers aren't a very filling dinner) so I didn't.

Overall, I ended up walking around for over three hours. 'Twas perfectly... perfect.

I found some wonderfully secluded spots, where I was able to have some moments of quiet reflection as well, which was almost as good as all the wandering. In short, this evening was precisely the kind of thing I needed and have been craving lately.

P.S. I called my sister last night after seeing a Facebook post to see how she and my niece were doing. Right after I hung up, my sister texted me and apparently my niece had just said "My [Anathema] is my best friend". Reading that made my heart melt a bit inside.

Dear clone,

A couple of us webmasters met up with Yellow for his help on some stuff. As a result, we got stuff to a point where we can maybe start actually updating the Board!

Dear friend,

My super awesome relatives from North Carolina and Alabama are in town, which means plenty of game nights this weekend! Haven't seen either of them in two years, so I'm pretty excited.

Dear you,

I forgot my anniversary but I didn't get in trouble because so did Man, Certainly and we still went out for dinner because my sister-in-law and a few others reminded me.

Yeah...we've just moved, my husband started a new job last week, and I'm taking the bar next week. But we had some good steak regardless.

Dear Reader,

I passed my oral coursework exam, which means I don't have to study for any more tests for the rest of my Master's.

The machine I've been wrestling with for the past three months finally cooperated, and I got everything out of it that I needed over the past two weeks.

I decided to spend some my spare time without any roommates this week getting back into practicing the piano. I stopped being serious about piano about eight years ago, but I've put in more than an hour every day this week, and I've made significant progress on learning Suite Española No. V "Asturias (Leyenda)" as a result.

Dear Reader,

Thanks for caring about our random lives! That's so kind of you! I hope you're doing well!

I don't have anything huge going on, but a few good things from the past week include getting my wedding pictures back, planning a fun trip to Bryce Canyon for August, and officially having an end date for the summer job I dislike. Also I've been eating so many fruits and vegetables, and I love it (turns out when you don't share a fridge with five other people you actually have room for fresh food).

Dear Reader,

I made Paleo chicken tenders, and they turned out. It made me very happy.

Then I went to Costco and bought half a gallon of coconut oil. That should last me at least a little while.

Dear yusef,

Did you know BYU has a club just for playing board games? They meet on Wednesdays and have a sweet sign.

It was really fun! I made friends with a girl when we created a pact to not kill each other and eat poison berries if needed so we wouldn't have to break our pact. I like friends and I like games, so it was a good day.

Take care,

Dear Reindeer,

I'M BACK IN PROVO and I love it and it's good to be home.

Also my summer has been amazing and I've had some awesome opportunities to travel to Ghana, Poland, and Southern Utah. It's been a blast and I've learned and experienced a lot of great things!

Also the Sodalicious that I just bought was ON POINT.

Keep it real,
Sherpa Dave
