Dear 100 Hour Board,

What's your favorite math function? Why is it your favorite?

Dear Aziraphale,

Oh my goodness, there are so many, how do I choose just one?

Well, to start off, my general go-to favorite math function is sin(1/x2). I just really love how fast it oscillates around 0. Also, it's cool how it takes on a parabolic outline. Seriously, when I get stressed, picturing a sine-curve helps to make me more relaxed.

But there are also more exotic functions I think are absolutely amazing. Like the Weierstrass function. It's everywhere continuous and nowhere differentiable. Just let that sink in for a moment to revel in the full mathematical beauty of such a construction.

Another function of note is Thomae's function

Ah, I could go on, but shall probably desist for now. As my parting bonus, though, check out this amazing epsilon red riding hood story one of the ACME students in my cohort shared.

P.S. If you'd like to know what ACME is like beyond sharing math bedtime stories, feel free to ask a question
