Dear 100 Hour Board,

I'm looking for a job that will allow me to just sit and work on homework. Like some sort of receptionist with minimal responsibilities. What is the best job on campus that I should look into? Preferably one that already has an opening.

-Working Hard at Hardly Working

Dear Hardly,

Ye seek the mythical “Get paid to do your homework job,” which all men seek but few can find. Verily, many a man or woman would jump at the opportunity to be paid to do whatever they wanted; but lo, many employers are loath to do so.

That being said, one of my friends worked custodial in the HFAC and had a fair amount of time to do his homework, and other friends have confirmed that janitorial jobs are pretty good for that. Some building security jobs may also let you study during breaks, but others (like the library) don't allow it.

As far as which jobs have openings, I'm afraid we're going to have to leave that to you. Any response we give now could change before the question posts, so it's really better if you just look that up yourself.

Good luck!

Dear You,

You can do this at any job, the only question is, how long can you do it until you get fired?

Keep it real,
Sherpa Dave

Dear person,

From what I have observed, department receptionists tend to be good jobs to get homework done. They seem to get other perks too, like getting invited to fancy Christmas parties.
