Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I was hanging out with my boyfriend when all of a sudden he received a text from his ex. They haven't seen each other in two years and haven't spoken in a year and a half. The point of her text was that she wanted something of hers back from him. He didn't have it anymore, because...two years! So my question is, how long should you keep something of your ex before getting rid of it?

A:

Dear Steward of Gondor,

I mean if it was a gift, I feel like you could keep it as long as you want. If it was something borrowed, I feel like you should give it back upon breaking up. Either way, after two years no one should expect that an ex still has anything of theirs.

Dear Arandur,

If you break a man's heart, don't make him break his back for you too.
