Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I like to study in the library while I’m on campus, but I hate carrying around 20 pounds of books all day long. Is there somewhere in the library I can securely keep all my textbooks that I don’t need during class but will need to complete my homework? My backpack weighed 24.4 pounds yesterday when it had my laptop, 3 textbooks, and 3 notebooks in it. It’s also rough to try to slide my huge backpack under my seat for lectures, especially in the MARB. This seems like an uncommon problem- I don’t often see other students walking around with crushingly heavy backpacks. So what’s the solution?

A:

Dear OF,

You can rent a locker in the library or in other various buildings around campus. It looks like most lockers cost $10 to rent until the end of the semester (April 25) and vary in size. I've never rented one before but this seems like a great way to save you from back problems!

Dear Freshy Fresh,

I have a library locker and it is so worth it. I keep all my textbooks and binders in there as well as a twelve pack of Dr. Pepper. There are also lockers in any of these 13 buildings so if the library isn’t the most central location you can pick another building. Getting a locker is so worth it. If you get one it will be the best $10 you’ve ever spent.

Peace,
